The FeTNA Vizha Malar is a cherished publication of the Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and achievements of the Tamil diaspora. Founded in 1987 by five pioneering Tamil organizations—Ilankai Tamil Sangam, Tamil Association of Delaware Valley, Tamil Sangam of Washington & Baltimore, New York Tamil Sangam, and Harrisburg Tamil Sangam—FeTNA has been at the forefront of uniting Tamil communities across North America. The annual convention, which serves as a vibrant platform for showcasing Tamil language, art, literature, culture, education, and industry, finds its enduring legacy encapsulated in the pages of Vizha Malar.
Vizha Malar is more than just a convention souvenir; it is a repository of FeTNA’s activities, office bearers, and milestones. Published annually, it brings together contributions from Tamil well-wishers across North America, offering a tapestry of diverse perspectives and voices that celebrate Tamil identity. Articles, artwork, and reflections within Vizha Malar document not only the successes of FeTNA but also the aspirations of a thriving diaspora committed to preserving and promoting Tamil culture for future generations.
This publication serves as a bridge between the past, present, and future of Tamil heritage in North America. It ensures that FeTNA’s contributions to fostering unity, cultural pride, and community engagement are remembered and cherished. By weaving together the narratives of individuals and organizations, Vizha Malar reflects the collective journey of the Tamil community, solidifying its role as an enduring symbol of cultural preservation and progress.
