Welcome to FeTNA

வணக்கம்!
Dear FeTNA Members, Tamil Sangam Leaders, Volunteers, Supporters, and Tamil Families,
It is with deep humility, gratitude, and responsibility that I serve as President of the Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America for the 2026–2028 term.
FeTNA has been built through the dedication of generations of leaders, volunteers, member Sangams, life members, delegates, sponsors, and community supporters. We honor their contributions by protecting this strong foundation while preparing FeTNA for the future.
FeTNA is more than an annual convention. It is a collective platform that connects Tamil Sangams and communities across North America. It enables us to preserve our language and culture, strengthen our communities, develop future leaders, and represent the aspirations of Tamil people.
Our mission is bigger than any one person, position, committee, or term.
Our vision is to build a more united, transparent, inclusive, innovative, and service-oriented FeTNA. We will focus on strengthening member Sangams, expanding volunteer participation, empowering youth, supporting entrepreneurship and professional development, and creating meaningful partnerships that benefit our community.
Our member Sangams are the foundation of FeTNA. While respecting their independence and local identities, FeTNA will help them share resources, exchange successful ideas, collaborate on programs, and grow together throughout the year.
We must also prepare FeTNA for a rapidly changing world. We will responsibly use modern digital platforms and artificial intelligence to improve communication, volunteer coordination, event planning, knowledge preservation, multilingual engagement, and informed decision-making. Our goal is to reduce administrative work, improve accountability, and allow volunteers to spend more time serving the community.
Technology must support people, not replace human relationships or thoughtful leadership. Any solution we adopt will prioritize privacy, security, transparency, accuracy, and human oversight.
Our youth must have a meaningful role in shaping FeTNA’s future. We will create opportunities for them to lead, serve, connect with mentors, explore education and careers, celebrate their Tamil identity, and bring new ideas into the organization.
We may come from different generations, backgrounds, and viewpoints, but our shared mission must remain at the center. When we listen with respect and work with purpose, our differences become a source of strength.
The timeless words of Kaniyan Pungundranar continue to guide us:
“யாதும் ஊரே யாவரும் கேளிர்”
Every place is our home, and everyone is our kin.
As we look ahead to the 2027 FeTNA Convention in Atlanta, we envision a celebration that brings together Tamil language, literature, arts, culture, innovation, entrepreneurship, service, and community. It will be shaped by collaboration and powered by volunteers from across North America.
FeTNA belongs to all of us. I invite you to participate, share your ideas, mentor others, support our member Sangams, empower our youth, and help us build an organization worthy of the generations that will follow.
Together, let us preserve our heritage, strengthen our community, modernize how we serve, and build an inspiring future.
With gratitude and respect,
Ezhilan Ramarajan
President, FeTNA
