Welcome to FeTNA
Dear Members,
I am delighted to have had the opportunity to meet and connect with many of you during our recent conference. As you may know, the executive committee for the 2024–2026 term formally assumed its responsibilities during the event. Since then, we have been diligently working on the transition of responsibilities from the previous committee to the new one, and we anticipate completing this process by the end of September.
Looking ahead, I am pleased to announce that next year’s conference will be hosted in Raleigh, North Carolina, in collaboration with the Carolina Tamil Sangam. Preparations are already underway, and we will share updates with you regularly as plans progress.
To further our mission, we are establishing several committees focused on key areas such as promoting the Tamil language, enhancing Tamil cultural awareness, advancing the conference’s initiatives, and supporting the growth of Tamil Sangams. In the coming weeks, we will send out announcements and applications for these committees to all member Tamil Sangams. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced individuals, expand your skills, build connections across the United States, and contribute meaningfully to Tamil-related efforts. I encourage each of you to engage with your local Tamil Sangams to obtain the applications and actively participate in these initiatives.
I hope that our children have spent their summer break both joyfully and productively. My heartfelt wishes go out to them for continued success in the coming year. To support their growth, not only in Tamil education but also in areas such as science and technology, the executive committee has planned workshops, training sessions, and competitions. We welcome those interested to join us in these efforts by serving on the relevant committees.
As the great poet Thiruvalluvar said,
நெடுங்கடலும் தன்நீர்மை குன்றும் தடிந்தெழிலி
தான்நல்கா தாகி விடின்.
If clouds restrain their gifts and grant no rain, The treasures fail in ocean’s wide domain.
Similarly, it is through constant efforts to serve and uplift our community that we can inspire the next generation to achieve greatness. FeTNA is (y)our organization, and together, we can work towards the progress of all.
